A clear household agreement

Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules for using HabitCheer and the boundaries around points, rewards, subscriptions, and family agreements.

Effective: September 14, 2026Version: 2026-09-14Operator: Longia LLC

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Longia LLC (“HabitCheer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing the HabitCheer apps, widgets, website, support, and related services (the “Service”). By creating or joining a household, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. A parent or guardian who creates or manages a household is responsible for confirming that invited minors meet the age requirement and for explaining the household’s use of HabitCheer.

2. Eligibility and age boundary

HabitCheer is currently offered only in the United States for personal household use by people age 13 and older. It is not intended for children under 13, schools, institutional monitoring, public social networking, employment, medical treatment, or emergency use.

  • Parents and adult participants must be legally able to enter these Terms and authenticate through Sign in with Apple.
  • Teens age 13–17 join a parent-managed household using a short-lived invitation, receive a Teen Privacy Summary, and provide the required acknowledgement.
  • Participants turning 18 must complete the adult transition before continuing to share new activity as an adult household member.

3. Accounts, invitations, and security

Provide accurate information, keep devices and invitation codes secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Invitations are limited, time-sensitive, and intended only for the person invited. You may not sell, publish, reuse, or attempt to guess invitation codes.

Adults are responsible for their Apple account. A paired teen device uses a revocable device session and does not require the teen to provide an email address. Household organizers can remove memberships and revoke device sessions. We may limit attempts or suspend access to protect users and the Service.

4. Household roles and the Family Pact

Parents manage the household, subscription, invitations, routines, reviews, point corrections, and household rewards. Teens may complete work, propose routines and changes, manage their own Wish List, and participate in the Family Pact according to the features available to their role.

The Family Pact is a non-binding household understanding. Acknowledging or “sealing” it is not an electronic legal signature, employment arrangement, or enforceable promise by HabitCheer. Families remain responsible for their relationships, expectations, supervision, and decisions.

Accepted routine changes affect future occurrences only. Completed work and ledger history are maintained as historical records and are not silently rewritten.

5. Points, wishes, and offline rewards

Points are not money.

HabitCheer points are private, nontransferable counters. They have no cash value, cannot be purchased, cannot be exchanged through HabitCheer, and are not property, stored value, wages, cryptocurrency, or a financial account.

Families may independently discuss offline rewards. A Wish List target or reward request does not guarantee that a reward will be approved, available, delivered, or received. HabitCheer does not hold funds, sell gift cards, supply rewards, set exchange rates, or enforce household promises.

When the feature is used, a reward debit occurs only after the authorized adult marks the reward delivered and the teen confirms receipt. Point corrections use visible ledger entries rather than deleting history.

6. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Only an adult may purchase or manage a HabitCheer subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple under the terms displayed before confirmation. Available plans, prices, included household capacity, billing period, and any introductory offer appear in the app and App Store and may vary as permitted by law.

Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, an automatically renewing subscription renews and Apple charges the account at the then-current displayed price. Manage or cancel through Apple’s subscription settings. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple, and unused trial time may be lost when a paid subscription begins.

Use “Restore purchases” in HabitCheer to restore an eligible entitlement. Apple handles billing, refunds, and payment-method questions under its policies. When paid access ends, the app may limit new activity while preserving household history and privacy controls as described in the product.

7. Household content and acceptable use

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Longia LLC a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service for your household.

Do not upload or use the Service for content that is illegal, threatening, exploitative, sexually explicit, hateful, invasive, infringing, malicious, or unsafe. Do not upload photos containing identity documents, financial information, private correspondence, other people without permission, or content unrelated to the assigned household task.

You may not:

  • harass, shame, surveil, exploit, or unlawfully discriminate against a household member;
  • use HabitCheer for penalties, fines, negative balances, gambling, or rewards with random monetary value;
  • bypass access controls, probe another household, interfere with the Service, introduce malware, or automate abusive traffic;
  • reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • use the Service for under-13 profiles, school administration, employment monitoring, or unlawful purposes.

Parents remain responsible for choosing age-appropriate routines, proof expectations, and offline rewards.

8. Privacy and photo proof

Our Privacy Notice describes collection, household visibility, service providers, security, retention, export, and deletion. Optional proof photos are private household evidence, not public content. HabitCheer removes embedded metadata, limits access, and schedules proof for deletion under the current retention policy, but users must still avoid sensitive information in the frame.

9. HabitCheer ownership and license

The Service, software, design, brand, artwork, text, and other materials provided by Longia LLC are owned by Longia LLC or its licensors and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your private household.

Feedback is voluntary. You permit us to use feedback without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

10. Leaving, deletion, suspension, and termination

You may stop using HabitCheer at any time. Adults and teens have the export, leave, and deletion options described in the app and Privacy Notice. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, under-age use, security risk, legal requirement, nonpayment, or threat to people or the Service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, continue after termination.

11. Service boundaries and disclaimers

HabitCheer is a family organization tool. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, educational, or parenting advice. It does not guarantee habit formation, improved behavior, reduced conflict, completed chores, accurate family statements, delivered rewards, or a particular outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Longia LLC disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so these limits may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Longia LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, household rewards, or opportunities arising from the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for HabitCheer during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and they do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

13. Governing law and disputes

Before filing a formal claim, contact support@longiallc.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief when necessary.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Subject to applicable law, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Either party may bring an eligible matter in small-claims court.

14. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Longia LLC, not Apple. Longia LLC, not Apple, is responsible for HabitCheer and its support, subject to these Terms. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support and is not responsible for product claims, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims concerning the app, except as required by law.

If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as provided by Apple’s rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce this section.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not listed on a US government prohibited- or restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version and effective date and provide appropriate notice for material changes. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law; when a new acknowledgement is required, the app will ask for it.
