Privacy Notice

This notice explains what HabitCheer saves, why we need it, who can see it, and how you can ask us to export or delete it.

Effective: September 14, 2026Version: 2026-09-14Operator: Longia LLC

1. Who this notice covers

HabitCheer is a private family habit and chore service operated by Longia LLC (“HabitCheer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This notice covers the HabitCheer iPhone and iPad apps, widgets, website, support, and related backend services.

HabitCheer is offered in the United States for adults and teens age 13 and older. It is not designed for children under 13, schools, or public social use.

The short version: We use family information to run HabitCheer. We do not sell personal information, run advertising, build public profiles, or use household content to train artificial-intelligence models.

2. Information we collect

Adult account information

Adults sign in with Apple. We receive an Apple account identifier and, when Apple provides it, an email address or private relay address. We also save account, household, membership, subscription, device-session, notification preference, and security records.

Teen profile information

A parent invites a teen using a short-lived code. We save the teen’s nickname, age band, preset avatar selection, household membership, app-generated identifiers, device session, acknowledgement records, and activity in the service. Teens age 13–17 do not need to provide an email address.

Family content and activity

We save routines, chores, schedules, cues, proposals, Family Pacts, completion and review history, point-ledger entries, wishes, reward requests, household goals, notes, and the actions needed to keep those records accurate.

Optional photo proof

If a teen chooses or is asked to attach proof, we process the selected or captured image and related technical data such as file type, size, dimensions, uploader, upload state, review state, and purge deadline. See Photo proof below.

Purchases and operations

Apple processes subscription payments. We receive transaction identifiers, product and entitlement status, purchase and expiration dates, and refund or revocation status. We also process push tokens, limited security and diagnostic logs, IP-derived security signals, and support messages. We do not receive full payment-card details from Apple.

We do not ask for a full birth date, school, home address, contacts, precise location, microphone access, advertising identifier, health data, or biometric information.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • authenticate adults and keep paired teen devices signed in;
  • create and protect private households and memberships;
  • schedule routines, record completion, support review, and calculate server-authoritative points, streaks, bonuses, and balances;
  • show proposals, Family Pacts, Wish Lists, reward requests, and household goals;
  • process optional photo proof and remove it on schedule;
  • deliver account and household notifications selected in the app;
  • verify subscriptions and restore purchases;
  • respond to support, export, deletion, and under-age reports;
  • prevent abuse, investigate security events, maintain reliability, and meet legal obligations.

HabitCheer does not use proof photos for facial recognition, automated judgement, advertising, or model training. We do not infer personality, health, or disciplinary scores.

4. What people in a household can see

HabitCheer is designed for shared family visibility, not personal secrecy inside a household.

  • Parents and authorized adult reviewers can see household members, routines, proposals, submitted work, notes, proof attached to work they are allowed to review, points, ledgers, Pact acknowledgements, wishes, reward requests, and family progress.
  • Teens can see their own plan, submissions, points, streaks, wishes, reward history, proposals, Pact, and household-wide information intended for all participants. HabitCheer does not show sibling rankings.
  • Other teens do not receive another teen’s private proof merely because they share a household.

Parents should explain household expectations before inviting a teen. A teen receives a plain-language privacy summary and acknowledgement before the first device session is activated.

5. Optional photo proof

Before an upload, HabitCheer asks the teen to avoid faces, identity documents, mail, screens, and location clues. The app and service validate supported formats and size limits. The service decodes and re-encodes accepted images, removing embedded metadata such as location data before durable storage.

Proof is stored under an opaque identifier in private encrypted object storage. Access requires an active authenticated household session and is limited to the submitting teen and authorized household reviewers. Download links expire quickly and are not public.

Available proof and its thumbnail share one removal lifecycle. They are scheduled for automatic deletion no later than 30 days after upload under the current product configuration, and an account-deletion or valid evidence-removal request queues earlier deletion. Backup copies age out through the normal encrypted backup rotation and are not restored selectively for ordinary product use.

6. When information is shared

We disclose information only as needed to operate, protect, or comply with law:

  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple, subscriptions, App Store distribution, and push-notification delivery.
  • Amazon Web Services provides cloud compute, database, encrypted storage, delivery, logging, and security services.
  • Operational providers may help with narrowly scoped infrastructure, security, or professional services under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.
  • Legal and safety disclosures may occur when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect a person, investigate misuse, or defend legal rights.
  • Business transfers may include information if Longia LLC is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to continued notice and applicable law.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

Parents and adult participants can initiate an export or account-deletion request in the app. A teen can prepare an export of their visible data, ask a parent for help, request deletion in the app, or contact us directly. Parents can remove a teen profile, subject to the household-history rules explained in the app.

You may also ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information, or appeal a privacy-request decision, by emailing support@longiallc.com. We may need to verify the requester and their relationship to the account. Applicable state law may provide additional rights; we will not discriminate against you for making a request.

Notification permissions can be changed in HabitCheer or iOS Settings. Subscription billing and cancellation are managed through Apple’s subscription settings.

9. Age boundary and teen privacy

HabitCheer is for people age 13 and older and is not placed in Apple’s Kids Category. A parent must confirm that each minor invitee is at least 13. If we learn that a profile belongs to a child under 13, we may suspend access, notify the household organizer, investigate, and delete personal content after appropriate verification.

Teens can read the separate Teen Privacy Summary. When a teen turns 18, continued adult participation requires direct consent and Sign in with Apple before new activity is shared under an adult account.

10. Security and US processing

HabitCheer uses access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, private storage, expiring links, session revocation, least-privilege service roles, rate limits, audit records, and operational monitoring. No service can promise absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe an account or invitation has been misused.

HabitCheer is operated for US households. Information is processed and stored in the United States and may be handled by providers subject to US law.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the product, law, or providers change. The page will show the effective date and version. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide an appropriate notice and request a new acknowledgement when required.
